Due to high interest from young Ukrainian designers and as customers are increasingly keen to explore new ideas, Verallia Ukraine released 2nd edition of Verallia Design Awards. Theme of 2018 – “Create the difference”. 13th of July creative space Inveria hosted National Final of Verallia Design Awards. From 56 participants 8 projects were selected for the final presentation.

As a result, winners were selected in two categories:

  • “Food” category winner - “Frui” Antonina Kasyanova, National University “Dnipro Polytechnyc”. In this bottle for juice smooth transitions diagonally are like waves in their outlines, what creates an impression of unity with nature and gives a feeling of freshness.
  • “Alcoholic Drinks” category winner - “Otherwise” Anna Homeniuk, National University "Lviv Polytechnic" for flavored Spirits. Despite elegant shape, bottle has internal facets and premium thick bottom.

   Second year, the partner of the competition in Ukraine is the international brand Nemiroff, a producer of high-quality alcohol and one of the leaders of the Ukrainian market, which is represented in more than 80 countries of the world. In 2018, it was decided to support one of participant and invite to attend summer internship at marketing department of Nemiroff, what will definitely be a valuable experience for a young specialist.  

  Since 2009, various Verallia group subsidiaries have held an annual design competition. In 2018, Verallia Design Awards were held in six countries: Germany, Spain, France, Italy, Portugal and Ukraine. Almost 1,000 art or design school students and recent graduates designed an innovative glass container based on a given theme. The participants were provided with support from the Verallia teams, in particular to provide them with details about glass and its manufacturing requirements
